Kelowna Skin Care and Laser - FAQs
If you’re looking to get rid of those facial blemishes, smooth out those lines and wrinkles, reduce pore size and create even tone and texture, then laser facials are for you.
Gentle pulses of energy stimulate collagen production in the skin naturally laying down new, healthy tissue during the healing process after your procedure. This leaves you with soft, smooth skin.
The selective laser heat energy results in a reduction of fine lines and wrinkles as new collagen production smooths lines and increases the skin’s elasticity.
Patients sometimes describe sensations during the procedure as warm tingling or the snap of a rubber band. A numbing facial cream (Emla 5%) is recommended to be applied one hour prior to your laser facial to make the procedure comfortable.
You can expect to see gradual improvement of tone, texture, pore size, fine lines and wrinkles and overall complexion over several days to weeks after your treatments.
