Dr. Praven Chetty has been practicing medicine since 2002, after graduating from Wits University in South Africa. He went on to work as an emergency physician in London, England, after which he decided to specialize in integrative cosmetic medicine – a true passion of his.
Dr. Chetty has been trained in Botox administration, facial contouring using dermal fillers, and laser treatment for skin rejuvenation by some of the most reputable and leading cosmetic and laser specialists in the UK, France and the USA. In 2007, Dr. Chetty obtained a Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. His special interest in dermatology led Dr. Chetty to further his expertise by obtaining a Diploma in Practical Dermatology from Cardiff University in Wales in 2011.
Over the past decade, Dr. Chetty has been performing dermatological and cosmetic procedures. He was the first doctor in Kelowna to be awarded RealSelf’s Top Doctor distinction (awarded to less than 10% of RealSelfs’ doctors) in 2016 for his ongoing role in educating the public about cosmetic dermatology treatments on the world’s largest online cosmetic platform, RealSelf. His extensive experience alongside continuous learning at annual international conferences in cosmetic dermatology and laser for skin rejuvenation make him an expert in the field of cosmetic medicine.
Dr. Chetty is an active member of the Canadian Medical Association, British Columbia Medical Association, College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia, Canadian College of Family Physicians and American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. His personal interests include mathematics, art, design, tennis, chess and sudoku with a zest for problem solving. He is an avid gardener and loves spending time in the outdoors with his family.
