Is Belkyra™ right for me?

How will I feel during my Belkyra™ treatment?

What results can I expect?
After receiving Belkyra™ injections, you can expect fat destruction beneath the chin area with improved chin profile and contour at about four to six weeks after your treatment.
How many treatments will I need?
Together, the Cerulean Medical Institute team will customize your Belkyra™ treatment regimen, including how many treatments you need, based on your desired chin profile. Many patients experience visible results in two to four treatment sessions. When injected into the fat under your chin, Belkyra™ causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat. After the cosmetic response is achieved, additional treatments with Belkyra™ are not expected.

How do I prepare for my Belkyra™ treatment?
Before receiving Belkyra™ treatment, patients with a history of herpes or cold sores should receive appropriate treatment. Please remove all makeup, lotions, deodorants and oil from the area to be treated with mild soap and water. Patients should also refrain from taking blood-thinning medications or supplements, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, prior to their appointment.
What happens after my Belkyra™ treatment?
After receiving Belkyra™, apply ice or a cold pack to the treatment area for 10 to 15 minutes as needed. Immediately following your treatment, you are advised to avoid exercise and hot baths. We also recommend avoiding massaging or rubbing the area for 24 hours after the Belkyra™ has been injected. Belkyra™ does not require downtime, so aside from these recommendations you may return to your normal routine as soon as the appointment is complete.
